The European Computer Driving License (ECDL) is the world’s largest end-user computer skills certification program, with over seven million candidates in 146 Countries. The ECDL is a vendor-neutral certification for users that need to demonstrate to an international standard that they are fully-competent in the use of a personal computer and common computer applications and that they know the essential concepts of Information Technology. ECDL Core V 4.0 has been approved for the following software applications: Open Office, Star Office, XP, 2003, MAC and Lotus Smartsuite.
The ECDL certification training course will teach students essential IT knowledge/skills, core IT skills applicable in any software environment, and increased confidence in computer use while giving the student a platform of basic knowledge from which to move on to higher-level IT education.
