The course is designed to give indepth knowledge and understanding of the plumbing industry. This course is an ICS Diploma but it offers the underpinning knowledge for the City and Guilds 6129 Level 2 Certificate in Basic Plumbing Studies (Level 2 Technical Certificate) and the City and Guilds 6089 Level 2 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering Services Plumbing (Domestic). |

In order to gain the Level 2 Technical Certificate we will recommend students to a Training Centres for practical training and assessment. There are 3 training centres located in: *Doncaster *Essex *Near Cardiff TRAINING DURATION IS CENTRE SPECIFIC, BETWEEN 6-12 WEEKS, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL CENTRE FOR THESE DETAILS

Sounds a lot but we are saving the student: 250 college hours £2500 (excluding our course costs) Direct Route: Applies for NVQ qualification only *Have been in the industry for 5 years or more. *No practical training involved. *Register at a centre and sit City and Guilds knowledge assessment *On-the-job assessment To give yo u an idea of the cost of the on-the-job assessment for the NVQ, MET-UK (Doncaster centre) charges £75 for each on site assessment carried out. The candidate has to be assessed on two systems on two occasions, and there is also an initial assessment which includes preparatory work and Health and Safety, so you need to work with 5 as a minimum. It will also depend on the candidate, so there may be occasions where there will be one or two more |

To gain the Level 2 Technical Certificate it will cost around £2500 for the practical training and assessment at a recommended training centre. This will take 5/6 weeks, except in the Welsh centre, where it will take longer, potentially 12 weeks. There are training centres in Doncaster, Essex and near Cardiff.
