Personal Assistant |
| Summary: |
Personal Assistants play a vital role in keeping a business running. After all, it's generally the organisational work that they do behind the scenes that helps keep their boss focused, on time and fully prepared for important meetings and events. You will learn how to become a fantastic PA, and not only improve your career prospects and gain recognised qualifications but increase your salary too. |
| Requirements: |
Students should be proficient in English Language. The ECDL goes out free with the course - if students wish to use this they will require access to a computer. If students do not have a computer, say that this is really just a free gift and they can still study the Personal Assistant/ GOAL Business Admin components without the computer. They can keep the CD for the future - perhaps when they get a job their employer will allow them access to a work computer? |

| External Exam Information: |
GOAL: Examinations are held in Summer and Winter. The exam dates will vary from year to year (and may be held in different months) but the dates for 2005 are 9th June and the 18th November. Please note that these are only the dates for 2005 and may differ for following years. A mailing will be sent to student to inform them of the deadline for applying for these exams. There are exam centres throughout the UK and in most countries overseas. We aim to to find a centre as close to the student as possible. ECDL: Candidates obtain, usually from an ECDL accredited test centre, a logbook listing all seven modules. A list of current test centres can be found on the ECDL website (www.ecdl.co.uk). As they pass each module, the test centre will sign the logbook. The modules may be taken in any order and over any period of time (up to three years) - even all at once - offering maximum flexibility. When all the modules have been successfully completed, the logbook is sent to the British Computer Society (BCS) and is exchanged for an ECDL certificate. |
| Additional Exam Fees: |
Students can choose to enter for GOAL (FORMERLY LCCIEB) Business Admin exams (£23.50) and/ or ECDL exams (£15 per module (7 modules) and £25 log book |
