The ASET Level 2 Certificate in Managing and Safe Handling of Medicines is a vocationally related qualification and aims to provide the learner with the essential underpinning knowledge, and the opportunity to demonstrate the skills required to safely handle and administer medicines in their workplace. This qualification is designed to meet the demand for trained and qualified health and social care staff in relation to the handling and administration of medicines. It also meets the requirement that the training must be accredited and according to the guidelines from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Nursing and Midwifery Council and the National Minimum Standards for care homes and domiciliary care in England, Northern Ireland and Wales. | External Exam Information: |
There is no end exam for this course - continuous assessment. This course includes 3 test papers. 1 of which is externally set and marked by ASET. |
| Additional Exam Fees: |
There is an ASET registration fee of £38.50 which must be paid before the ASET Certificate can be awarded. If students do not pay this they will only be eligible for an ICS Diploma. There are no exam fees. |
