In order to qualify for the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing, you must first successfully complete one of the following: - CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing - Any degree OR - (BTEC) Higher National Certificate/ diploma (UK only) - S/NVQ Level 3 in Marketing (UK only) - S/NVQ Level 4 in any other subject (UK only) - At least 3 years' experience jn a marketing practitioner role |
| Careers in the Field: |
Opportunities for qualified Marketing professionals exist in most sectors of the economy. The work centres on carving out and/or reinforcing a healthy market share for all manner of consumer goods, from household names to newly launched products. This is a career path which offers considerable challenges, but with the rewards to match. Newly qualified CIM graduates frequently start out as Trainee Brand Managers or Marketing Assistants.
Starting salaries outside the London area range from £15,000 - £25,000 and can rise quickly with experience. After three years they average at £30,000, often with attractive benefits packages.

| External Exam Information: |
Examinations are held at numerous centres in the UK and Overseas - starting on the first Monday in December and the second Monday in June. The respective deadline dates are the first Friday in October for December exams and the last Friday in March for June exams . The CIM aim to find a centre as close to the student as possible. Each exam lasts 3 hours. |
