Summary: An insight into the professional skills you need to plan the use of space, select a style, choose a colour scheme and furniture, and design window dressings.
Description: Do you ever watch Changing Rooms and the Home Show and just know you could do better? Then the ICS Interior Design course could be the ideal way for you to get the most out of your ideas – and your home – by giving you insight into the professional skills you need to plan the use of space, select a style, choose a colour scheme and furniture, and design window dressings. Gone will be the days when you had to worry about keeping up with the Joneses. They’ll be getting you in to sort them out once you’ve finished over at the Smiths’.

Like you, we know that time is money. Which is why all ICS courses are designed to fit in with your lifestyle without taking it over.

Another important advantage is that our courses follow a modular structure specifically designed to let you work at the pace that suits you best. By breaking the material down into logical sections, the tutors have ensured that you will be in a position to better consolidate your new skills as you learn, so that you – and those around you - can start noticing a positive impact from the outset of the course.
Key Benefits: Some key benefits of our Interior Design course are:

· Complete flexibility when you do the course – we don’t lock you into inconvenient term times
· Modular approach designed to help you implement skills as you acquire them
· Flexible access to your tutors who will support you every step of the way
· Special discount entitlement for additional courses in the series
· Cassette Tutoring Option: if you prefer, you can choose the more personal touch communicating with your tutor by cassette. Your tutor can record comments and advice specifically on your work as you progress through the course. A blank cassette tape is provided with the course for you to take advantage of this option.
Topics: Although this course does not qualify you as a professional Interior Designer - you will gain a thorough grounding in the subject and we won’t be surprised if you find that it’s an interest that you want to take further. On successful completion of the course, you will have mastered the following:

Interior Design Core Skill Areas
· Introduction to Interior Design· Selecting a Style· How Colour Works· Focus on Furniture · Flooring· Walls and Windows· The Finishing Touches

The ICS Interior Design course has been designed by experts who have one goal in mind. To set you on the right track to a more rewarding career. If your goal is to eventually start your own business, or if you simply feel that your career could benefit from a greater understanding of business and management principles, the courses in our ICS Business Skills Series could prove equally invaluable.
Careers in the Field: Although the ICS Interior Design course is not primarily intended as a vocational training, the essential skills it helps you develop will be a tremendous asset to anyone hoping to start a career in this competitive and lucrative field.

The fees that Interior Designers can command will of course vary enormously depending on the nature of their experience, the area they are working in, and the size of the job they are commissioned to carry out.

The ICS Interior Design course is a flexible and cost-effective way of gaining the skills you need to bring the best out of your ideas and, potentially, inspire you to launch a new career.
