Intended for non-professional photographers of all ages, giving an introduction to camera and darkroom work. |
| Requirements: |
· Single lens reflex camera with changeable lenses · 50 mm lens is adequate to complete the course but a short zoom lens (e.g. 35-80mm) and a long zoom (80-200mm) would give better experience. · Student will also require a tripod and cable release for best results. · A flashgun is needed, which can range from part of the camera (minimum), to a separate flashgun (preferred). · Digital cameras can be used as long as it has the above facilities (or similar OPTICAL zoom), and has the MINIMUM specification of 3.1 M pixel and 10MB memory. When a digital camera is used there will be no negatives but we may ask you to provide a CD containing the original images taken from the camera. |

| External Exam Information: |
Portfolio sent to City and Guilds for assessment. Submission to City and Guilds should include: workbook; Portfolio of two sets of six photographs complete with individual self-evaluations; Product complete with self-evaluation. Photographs for the folio should be mounted on suitable materials for viewing. The workbook will include notes demostrating a collection of exercises and image evaluations all relating to the learning outcome. |
