Thank you for passing on the information on computing course . The feedback on the service you offered is good. It was prompt and informative. The training company you recommended have got in touch with me and we had a brief discussion about possible courses and their cost.
We are at the moment just scouting round looking at what is available to meet our needs and so are not fully committed to actually purchasing a course. The driving force behind us looking at a course in Outlook was that we have an initiative running at the moment , to improve communication within our department. Part of initiatives was to look at computing skills that are required to access the information we have located on our computer systems, hence the above enquiry.
Should we decide on a course we will get back to either you or the supply company you recommended.
We have purchased a number of CBT solutions from RCS over the last couple of years - and I have always been happy with their service and with their professional approach. You are kept up to date with the progress of your order shipment (which is very quick!) and there seems to be nothing that is too much trouble.
The CBT products that we have purchased covered a range of subjects including Visual Basic, Windows 2000, MCSE 2000 - 2003 Upgrade, MCSE Security bundles and A+. All of these have proved to be an invaluable aid to our students and have contributed to their many exam successes. The only rider that I would add to this endorsement is that I feel that purchasing an appropriate book would prove to be an additional benefit to anyone considering pursuing a CBT course. I felt I just had to write to you to say what a pleasure it is to do business with a company who treats a customer as a person rather than a credit card, and acts accordingly.
After extensive searching of the internet I decided to purchase my Microsoft Office XP CBT course from RCS for 2 reasons.
- Most companies selling Microsoft Office CBT courses did not stock the XP version and could only offer older versions.
- The price RCS was selling the XP version was significantly cheaper than other companies who offered a similar product.
I must admit that I had reservations about purchasing from a company who could offer the product so much cheaper than others because, all too often these days, a lower price means a lower level of customer service and, an inferior product. I could not have been more wrong.
The morning after I had placed my order I received an e-mail requesting confirmation of my address for security reasons. It is good to know that companies such as yours are taken positive steps to prevent fraudulent use of credit cards.
As soon as I had faxed through the required confirmation of my address you rang me to confirm it had been received and my order would be despatched the same day. My order arrived at 7.25a.m. the next morning. That’s what I call service.
You followed my order through from start to finish and, the service I have received is excellent.
With regard to the CBT courseware itself I found it to be excellent and superb value. The content covers topics from basic concepts for people who just want a better understanding of how to use Office XP right up to advanced features for people such as myself who wish to take the MOS exams.
The quality of the production is extremely high and the presenter Shaun Oliver is very knowledgeable (his accent can sometimes be irritating).
My only criticism would be that there are not enough interactive exercises so I would recommend that users who intend taking the MOS exams purchase a good Microsoft Office XP book to supplement the courseware (presumably they could purchase this through RCS).
I managed to pass all 5 of my MOS exams using the CBT courseware so I feel this demonstrates the quality of the courseware and how comprehensive it is. The money I spent on the courseware is one of the best investments I have ever made.
Once again I would like to congratulate you on being a first rate company offering a superb product at an excellent price. I will certainly be purchasing all future courseware from you and have recommended to my friends and colleagues that they do the same.
The CBT CCNA course is excellent and hopefully next month I will be taking the exam and passing. The CBT product is easy to use and an excellent combination of reading material, video on CD and interactive labs.

I was very pleased with the speed of response to my initial enquiry from both yourself and xxxxxxx. I was slightly confused by your quoted price and the price xxxxxx were quoting but the difference has been explained to me- i was just not familiar with what a "CBT" training course was. xxxxxx have been good at responding to my enquiries and have provided me with details of course content etc. The only slight problem is that our version of Dreamweaver(3) which we use inhouse is different from version 4 which the training is on. I am not sure how different??!!
Personally i do like to receive paper details of, in this case, training courses, as i get many emails each day and some do get overlooked!

Regarding classroom training
I did attend an Excel course on the 16-17 July organised by xxxxxxxxx. They responded very quickly and I got all information I needed.
I haven't had a chance to go through the XML course yet, the work we were going to do has been put on hold so I probably won't do the course for a while.
I have had a look at the other CDs you sent. The are very well presented, easy to follow and sensibly laid out. The VB fundamentals would be fine for someone new to Windows programming, I thought that the more advanced stuff would be more appropriate for our staff.
